6 amazing things about the Philippines, why you should visit.
It is always summer in the Philippines. Are you tired of cold winters, snowstorm blizzards! worry no more, the Philippines might be the answer you’ve been looking for.
A few days ago, I was talking with someone from South Korea, he told me that he has been living in Cebu Philippines for the last three years, he sold everything he owned in Korea and moved to the Philippines. ‘What in the world made you sell your properties’, I asked him. He smiled and with no hesitation, answered “Because of the weather” Then he went on to explain, “Look, In my home country, it is cold half of the year and I hate coldness, that’s why I decided to move somewhere warmer”.
When I asked him whether he had any regrets for doing such a radical thing, he gave me a strong sounding “NO” . He went to say that he loves it here.
Well, How awesome is that!
Philippines is a Tropical country. You see the sun shining almost everyday year round. You don’t need winter coats and Jackets, just wear your shorts and slippers and enjoy yourself. Isn’t that awesome!
Kind, loving, extremely welcoming, caring, generous, friendly and always smiling people. Those are some of the words you always hear every time you talk to someone who has visited the Philippines before.
I have been living in the Philippines since 2009 and I can wholeheartedly testify about the friendly nature of Filipinos. Filipinos are one of the most open, welcoming and carefree people in the Universe. Take a walk down the street and you’ll meet people of all ages smiling, wanting to shake your hand, taking their time to really wanting to know you.
If you love playing with kids, I promise, you won’t be disappointed. The Kids are lovely.
The friendly and loving nature of Filipinos is one of the major reasons why the Philippines is a great country to live in or visit.
I know, no society is perfect. You may find one or two rotten tomatoes around. However, 99.9% times you’re going to find the locals are very welcoming, caring and exceptionally good more than most other countries.
Are you into beaches, then this is the perfect place to be during summer. Forget all the over crowded beaches in your country. You can have a beach all to yourself in the Philippines. If you are into white sandy beaches and turquoise crystal-clear waters, you’re in the right country. Boracay, El-Nido, Cebu, and many more places.

4. Island Hopping
Philippines is an archipelago, with more than 7,107 Islands. Yes, you heard right, 7,107 Islands and according to recent discoveries, by the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority (NAMRIA) may have discovered 400 more islands in the country. The Philippines may now have more than 7,500 islands in total.
Tell me if you’ll ever be able to visit all these beautiful Islands in just one trip! Well, I have been living here since 2009 and I haven’t visited even a quarter of these breathtaking beautiful Islands.
5. English Language
Over 92% of the population speaks English. This is a big advantage compared to other Asian countries. ‘Almost’ everybody speaks English in the Philippines, from a four year old to a ninety year old. English is the language of business, and most preferred for public communication.
6. 30 Days Visa Free
Did you know that you don’t need to apply for a Visa to travel to the Philippines! One of the greatest hindrances to international travel is getting a Visa. Traveling to most countries, you need to apply for an entry visa, the process may take from 3 days to 3 months depending on the country you desire to travel and with no guarantee that you would even get the visa.
Here is some good news for you when it comes to traveling to the Philippines; Just pack your bags, get a return ticket, and your passport. You will automatically be given 30 days tourist entry visa in the Philippines at any port of entry. If you want to stay longer, you can always renew your stay for more 59 days.
